AI chat client

Connect ChatGPT
to DataPalace.

The most famous AI tool on the planet can now pull from your knowledge base instead of starting from zero.

What connecting does

ChatGPT remembers you, but it does not know your business. Connect DataPalace and you can ask ChatGPT to search your knowledge base, pull specific articles, or use your stored context to write better answers.

What plan you need

Plus ($20/mo) connects DataPalace for reading. Team ($30/user/mo) or Enterprise add write access and a shared team connection. Free is not supported.

Connect it, step by step

  1. Open ChatGPT and sign in.
  2. Click your profile icon, then Settings.
  3. Open the Connectors tab and click Advanced.
  4. Toggle Developer Mode on (read and accept the warning — that is normal).
  5. Click Add custom connector.
  6. Name it DataPalace, set the URL to the MCP server URL, and choose Bearer token auth with your DataPalace API token. Save.
Test it: ask “Search DataPalace for [something you know is in your knowledge base].” If it returns results, you are connected.

Good to know

Your DataPalace endpoint must be public HTTPS (it is). On Team or Enterprise, an admin can publish DataPalace as a shared connector so the whole team gets it without individual setup. Writing back to DataPalace needs Team or Enterprise — Plus is search-only.
