Connect Notion
to DataPalace.
Notion now lets you build AI agents that do things inside your workspace. Connect DataPalace and they check your real knowledge before they act.
What connecting does
A Notion custom agent connected to DataPalace gets your full knowledge base. Before it drafts a page, creates a task, or summarizes a thread, it checks DataPalace first. The result is an agent that knows your business instead of making things up.
What plan you need
Notion Business (~$15/person/mo) or Enterprise. Your admin also needs to turn on custom MCP connections once.
Connect it, step by step
First, an admin enables the feature (one-time): Settings → Notion AI → Allow custom MCP connections.
Then, inside any custom agent:
- Open or create a Custom Agent from the sidebar.
- Go to Tools and Access.
- Click Add connection, then Custom MCP server.
- Name it DataPalace, set the URL to the MCP server URL, and choose API key auth with your DataPalace API token. Save.
- Toggle on the DataPalace tools. Set read tools (search, fetch) to run automatically; leave write tools on “Always ask” while you get started.
Good to know
The connection is per-agent, not per-workspace — set it up once per agent. Scheduling is the unlock: set an agent to run on a schedule, pull updates from DataPalace, and create or update pages automatically.
